BADIN: A woman was killed and three members of her family were critically injured in an axe attack in a village near Khorwah on Wednesday.

The incident occurred in Waryo Khaskheli village, within the Golarchi (SFR) taluka, when the suspect, Hussain Khaskheli, allegedly attacked his relatives. His niece, Amina, daughter of Ameer Bux Khaskheli, died at the scene.

The attack also left the victim’s father, Ameer Bux Khaskheli, her mother, Shahro Khaskheli, and the suspect’s own wife, Rozina Khaskheli, with severe injuries.

Khorwah Police moved the casualties to Taluka Hospital Golarchi for treatment and transferred the deceased for a post-mortem examination before releasing the body to the family. Police have since arrested Hussain Khaskheli and recovered the axe believed to have been used in the assault.

Initial police findings suggest the attack was motivated by an honor dispute. The deceased had recently married a local man, Mashooq Solangi, by choice. Following a tribal settlement, she was returned to her family home two days prior to the incident.

The suspect reportedly believed that the victim’s mother had facilitated the marriage. Driven by this suspicion, he allegedly targeted his niece, his brother, his sister-in-law, and his wife.

The three injured victims remain in a critical condition, and police investigations are ongoing.
