Finnish President Alexander Stubb has welcomed the announcement of an agreement between the United States and Iran, congratulating Pakistan, Qatar and other mediators for helping facilitate the breakthrough.

“This agreement paves the way for ending the war and opening the Strait of Hormuz, which will have a significant impact on the region and the global economy,” he wrote on X.

“I urge all involved to take advantage of the situation and find a lasting solution to the conflict in accordance with international law.”
