French President Emmanuel Macron has welcomed the agreement reached between the United States and Iran, which he says is the result of a diplomatic effort to which several partners have contributed.

“I call for its rapid and complete implementation,” he posted on X.

Macron stressed that the agreement must “enable the urgent and unconditional reopening of the Strait of Hormuz”.
