TOBA TEK SINGH: The Jhang Kotwali Police claimed to have booked nine members of a gang involved in issuing fake medico-legal certificates (MLCs) at the Jhang DHQ Hospital and arrested two of them.

The FIR claimed that Babar and Asad allegedly fabricated documents to show serious injuries on individuals with minor wounds to obtain favourable MLCs for bribes. Police said that all accused were believed to be operating asthird-party staff within the hospital and the role of the hospital’s doctors and other staff would be determined during the investigation.

Raids were underway to arrest seven other members of the gang.
