Riders are often pushed to their limits by corporate algorithms mandating rigid, unrealistic delivery windows. To avoid penalties or missing out on meagre incentives, they are forced to navigate broken infrastructure and chaotic traffic at perilous speeds. Compounding this vulnerability is the complete absence of standardised healthcare or life insurance coverage. The relevant authorites in Sindh must immediately intervene to regulate tech-based courier platforms. Enforcing realistic delivery timelines and mandating comprehensive workplace injury insurance are vital to protect these essential workers from exploitative corporate mechanisms.

SAND MINING: Illegal sand mining in canals and waterways is a growing threat in rural Sindh. In Qazi Wah near Pano Aqil in Sukkur district, an eight-year-old boy got drowned recently in a deep pit created by excessive sand excavation inside a canal. Residents say illegal mining continues without proper monitoring or safety measures. Uncontrolled sand extraction damages canal structures, increases erosion, and puts nearby communities at risk. Stricter government action is needed to stop illegal sand mining before more innocent lives are lost.

PUBLIC FIRST: In public offices, government employees usually do not reach on time. Most of them arrive by noon and those who come in the morning engage themselves in never-ending meetings. Ordinary citizens, whether from nearby or rural areas, keep waiting for hours and often return without getting their problems solved. The government should issue a directive reserving morning hours (9am to 2pm) for public dealing. This simple policy does not require any extra fund or load on the government exchequer, and will increase the confidence of the public in government departments.
