US President Donald Trump has clarified what he meant by saying Iran would “pay the price” for taking too long to negotiate a deal.

“We’re going to be attacking them, and attacking them very hard,” he tells reporters in the Oval Office.

When asked if the US would resume bombing, Trump says, “Yeah, based on the helicopter, I guess we have the right to do that,” referring to the Apache helicopter gunship that was reportedly shot down by Iran near the Strait of Hormuz.
