LAHORE: An anti-terrorism court (ATC) has convicted two members of a banned outfit in a case of explosive materials and sentenced them to rigorous imprisonment.

Judge Shahid Sikandar announced the verdict after concluding the trial proceedings.

The judge sentenced Naqeebullah to eight-year rigorous imprisonment and his accomplice, Saleh Raza, to seven years. In addition to the jail terms, the judge ordered the confiscation of their properties in favour of the state. The convicts were produced before the court from jail for the verdict.

Following the judgment, the court directed the prison authorities to transfer them back to jail to serve their sentences.

The Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) had arrested them in 2025 after explosive materials were recovered from them.

The CTD claimed they were members of a banned outfit and were also involved in terrorist activities.
