Global warming

GLOBAL warming is one of the most serious issues facing the world today. While the world is rapidly progressing in terms of technology and development, the environment is unfortunately suffering owing to pollution, deforestation, industrial effluents and excessive use of fossil fuels.

The planet’s overall temperature is rising due to harmful gases, such as carbon dioxide and methane, which trap heat in the atmosphere and disturb the natural climatic balance. As a result, extreme weather conditions are becoming more common across the world.

Pakistan is among the countries greatly affected by climate change. Every year, weather intensity is increasing, with un-expected heavy rains causing destruction. The responsibility to control global warming does not only lie with governments; every individual must play a role.

Planting more trees, reducing pollution, saving electricity and water and avoiding unnecessary plastic use are simple but powerful steps that can help protect our environment. Educational institutions should also spread awareness so that the younger generation understands the importance of environmental protection.

Global warming is no longer a future problem; it is a reality that is affecting us today. If we ignore this issue, future generations will face even greater diffi-culties. It is time for us to act responsibly and work together to save our planet.
