A potential agreement between Washington and Tehran hinges on US President Donald Trump’s administration agreeing to release $24 billion in frozen Iranian assets, Reuters reports citing CNN, which quoted an adviser to Iran’s supreme leader, Mohsen Rezaei.

“The negotiations are at a deadlock and [US President Donald] Trump must break this deadlock,” he says, noting that the “ball is in Trump’s court”.
