OKARA, July 7: Military farm tenants blocked GT Road after police arrested a man `wanted’ in a number of cases.

The B.Division police arrested Shahbaz of 15/4L village earlier in the day. When other tenants learnt about the arrest, they blocked the busy highway.

Police rushed to the site but filed to get the road cleared. The blockade was lifted after police free Shahbaz who, according to tenants, had been implicated in fake cases in wake of their drive for their rights. — Correspondent
