RAWALPINDI: Punjab Health Minister Khawaja Salman Rafique has conducted a surprise visit to Holy Family Hospital (HFH) and expressed dissatisfaction over the poor sanitation arrangements in the hospital.

The provincial minister issued instructions to the administration for immediate improvement. He also directed that better and timely medical facilities be provided to patients in the emergency ward. The provincial minister urged citizens to be treated with dignity at the reception.

Speaking on the occasion, Punjab Health Minister Khawaja Salman Rafique said providing dignified and quality medical facilities to the public was the top priority of the government, adding that there will be no compromise on the quality treatment of patients in hospital

Khawaja Salman Rafique also visited the central control room at the head office of Rawalpindi Waste Management Company to inspect the cleanliness.

The provincial minister was given a detailed briefing on Eidul Azha cleanliness operation in the control room.

Mr Rafique said Islam had declared cleanliness as half the faith, and keeping the environment clean was the first responsibility of the citizens.

“Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif has given a new identity to the cleanliness system and citizens should fully support the Punjab government in maintaining cleanliness,” he said.
