LAHORE: Incarcerated PTI Punjab chief organiser Aaliya Hamza says she kept sharing others’ sorrows and ended up in jail herself.
In a hand-written two-sentence statement on Eid shared on X on Saturday, Ms Hamza stated “Our Eid will be when Prime Minister Imran Khan is free. I kept sharing others’ sorrows and ended up in jail myself,” she added and said she had a complete faith in Allah. “My Allah is the Just,” she stated.
Ms Hamza has been in jail for the past 68 days since she was picked from her home in the DHA, when she had visited her home to meet her children on the occasion of Eidul Fitr.
The PTI leaders say that her arrest was nothing else but political victimization, calling her arrest a violation of democratic norms.
