QUETTA/KHUZDAR: Fourteen people were killed in road accidents, firing, drowning and other incidents across the province of Balochistan during the Eid holidays, police said on Friday.

According to the police officials, four motorcyclists were killed and another was injured when two motorbikes collided on the Quetta-Karachi National Highway in the Khari area of Lasbela district.

The deceased were identified as Sajid Ali, Muhammad Osama, Niaz Ali and Muhammad Azam.

In Winder, two people drowned while taking a bath in the Methri River.

Rescue workers later recovered their bodies and identified them as Sajjad Hussain and Sarfraz Ahmed. The bodies were handed over to the family after completing medico-legal formalities. Another body was recovered from Hub River, which was shifted to the Edhi Home for identification.

In Qila Saifullah, three people were shot dead in the Molvi Bakhtiar Adha area, police said.

Police described the motive for the triple murder as old enmity. Police shifted the bodies to district hospital and started an investigation and conducting raids for the arrest of the attackers.

Separately, an armed clash between two groups of a family left two people dead and four others injured in the Gulistan area of Qila Abdullah on Eid. They used automatic weapons against each other. The deceased were identified as Dilawar and Syed Noor. In the Basima area of Washuk district, armed men opened fire and killed a man before fleeing.

The victim was later identified as Muhammad Bakhsh.
