Forest fire burns hundreds of trees

SARGODHA: A forest fire burnt hundreds of trees to ashes and was brought under control by Rescue 1122 during Eid in Sargodha.

As per details, a fire broke out in the extreme heat during the Eid holidays and burnt trees and bushes near Bridge 80 Bhagtanwal, Sargodha.

The cause of the fire could not be determined and Rs8 million trees belonging to the Forest department were burnt to ashes.

Rescue 1122 teams completed the operation in time and brought the fire under control.

The Forest department had taken notice of the incident and started a departmental investigation.

BOOKED: An 18-year-old youth was tortured and robbed of his cash and mobile phone for openly violating the Sound System Act and verbal abuse during a volleyball match, on which the police have registered separate cases.

According to details, the police registered a case against one Mukhtar Ahmed, the organiser of a volleyball match, for violating the Sound System Act and Section 144 during the match at Kaka Stadium in Sahiwal town on the Sargodha-Jhang Road.

Meanwhile, during the match, Kamran, Faisal, Matiur Rehman and others allegedly tortured and threatened to kill 18-year-old Ali Raza and snatched Rs8,000 in cash and a phone from him.

The Sahiwal Police registered a case against Kamran, Faisal, Matiur Rehman, Asif, Nadeem and 5 unknown persons on the complaint of the father of the victim, Muhammad Ramzan. Police were investigating to trace the accused.

SUICIDE: A 20-year-old youth allegedly committed suicide by consuming poisonous pills on the third day of Eid.

As per details, Abdul Wahab (20) allegedly committed suicide by taking poisonous pills in the Dagar Angra village in the Darya Khan area of Sargodha. The body of the deceased was handed over to the heirs after necessary legal action and the police were investigating to find out the reason for the suicide.

ACCIDENTS: Five people were killed and eight others were injured in various accidents and incidents, including a murder, in Sargodha and its surrounding areas during Eidul Azha.

According to the police, Muhammad Nadeem (25) of Mardwal and Abdul Rehman (55) of Sodi Jaywali died in a collision between two motorcycles due to high speed near the Ochhali Mor in the Naushera Soon Valley in Sargodha.

In another incident, two people from each side were killed and five people, including a patient, were seriously injured during a clash between two groups in a hospital.

Taking notice, DPO Shahzad Rafique Awan ordered the Saddar Police for immediate action and immediate arrest of the accused. He said that police officers reached the spot on time and controlled the situation, while raids were being conducted at various places to arrest the accused.

Meanwhile, the body of a 30-year-old youth was recovered from a ten-foot deep tank of an underground fresh water tank of the TNT Colony Chak Pakki 39 Road in Sargodha city.

The Rescue 1122 team shifted the body to the hospital. The police were investigating.

KIDNAPPED: A young man who had come to Sargodha from Gojra to meet his brother was allegedly kidnapped by a man and a woman from the bus stand.

As per details, Mohsin Abbas had come to Sargodha from Gojra to meet his brother and he was allegedly kidnapped by a man and a woman in a car from the General Bus Stand.

On information, the Satellite Town Police registered a case on the complaint of abductee’s brother Irfan and were busy searching for the abductee and the accused.
