PESHAWAR, June 5: An attestation parade of Corps of Engineers recruits was held at the Engineer Centre, Risalpur, on Wednesday.

Major Gen Naeem Khalid Lodhi, Member Army Restructuring Committee, was chief guest, says an ISPR release issued here on Wednesday.

Addressing the young sappers, Mr Lodhi said that the duty performed by sappers in difficult terrain and inhospitable weather was a manifestation of their indomitable professional commitment and devotion to duty.

Speaking about the complex and challenging environment of the present-day world, he said that only the personnel equipped with sound education, sharp intellect and undiminished vigour would be able to cope with the challenges ahead.

Earlier the chief guest reviewed the parade and distributed prizes among recruits excelling in various disciplines of training.—APP
