KARACHI, July 5: Six ships carrying coal, general cargo and crude oil are expected to arrive at the outer anchorage on Thursday, according to the KPT sources.
Berthing activity at the wharves was modest where four ships, APL Jeddah, Emerald Sea, Iran Sattari and Kota Mesra to unload and load containers were berthed after the departure of as many.
The ships, which departed included Win Moony, Dina Quessn, Shalamar and Diamond Progress, while Sinar Bontang, Y.M. Energy, Oel Aishwarya, Al-Rafal, Johar, Dimitris, Leopard and Khairpur are due to sail out on Thursday.
Cargo handling activity was relatively slow as the total tonnage handled suffered sharp contraction at 59,033 tons comprising 5,646 tons of export c 53,387 tons of imported goods including 5,921 tons of sugar.
The following ships are due on Thursday: Al-Rafal, with 2,000 tons of base oil, Johar, with 65,000 tons of crude oil, Cavin P. Titus, with containers, Dimitris-C, with 39,305 tons of coal, Leopard and Khairpur, with general cargo.
