Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to ending the Middle East war peacefully in a phone conversation with his Qatari counterpart, Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani, according to the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO).

It adds that during the call, both leaders exchanged views on bilateral cooperation and the evolving situation in the Middle East, with particular focus on the ongoing efforts led by Pakistan to ensure peace between the US and Iran.

“While expressing his deep appreciation for Qatar’s support to Pakistan’s peace initiative, the prime minister reaffirmed Pakistan’s strong commitment to a peaceful resolution of the conflict through dialogue and diplomacy,” the PMO says.

“In this regard, both leaders underscored the importance of sustained international efforts to preserve the ceasefire, prevent further escalation, and restore stability across the region.”
