GUJRAT, July 4: Kunjah police on Tuesday registered a case against 32 people, 31 of them unidentified, for ransacking a Wapda complaint office at Shadiwal town. Reports said an enraged mob had attacked and ransacked the complaint office after power supply to the town remained suspended for two days.

Wapda staff at the office had escaped before the attack.

The police registered the case under sections 186, 436, 382, 506, 147 and 149 of the PPC on the complaint of SDO Tabassam Hussain. The only nominated accused, Ashraf, is still at large.

DACOITY: As many as seven unidentified dacoits looted the house of one Sharif Gujjar, and took away cash and valuables worth hundreds of thousands of rupees at Lakhanwal village on Monday night.
