The Israeli army has announced that it has begun striking alleged Hezbollah sites in southern Lebanon, hours after the so-called ceasefire was extended for a further 45 days, AlJazeera reports.

The announcement also comes shortly after the army issued forced evacuation notices for nine towns in Lebanon.
