RAWALPINDI: Inspector General of Railways Police Mohammad Wasi Fakhre Sultan, along with SRP Rawalpindi and DSP/RP-A, on Friday conducted a detailed visit to the railway land and related sites on Shah Bukhari Road, which was retrieved during the recent anti-encroachment operation, police spokesman said.

During the visit, the IG Railways police gave clear instructions that no encroachments should be allowed to re-emerge on the retrieved railway land under any circumstances. He said protecting railway land and other assets is the top responsibility of Railways police, and these valuable assets should be used effectively to increase Pakistan Railways’ revenue.

He directed the concerned officers to ensure continuous monitoring of these sites and to maintain close coordination with railway authorities to put the land to productive and beneficial use so that the national institution can gain maximum financial benefit.

Later, the IG Railways police also visited the under-construction SRP Office and related buildings at PRP/Rawalpindi. He instructed that the remaining construction work be completed soon according to the revised PC-I, and stressed that the auditorium and admin block should be made operational quickly in coordination with railway authorities.
