PML-N Balochistan leaders air concerns

QUETTA: PML-N Balochistan’s leaders met Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Wednesday to discuss the performance of the provincial government, internal party grievances and the overall political situation in the province.

Party sources said the delegation, which included Senator Mir Dostain Khan Domki, provincial ministers Nawab Jangez Khan Marri and Sardar Abdul Rehman Khetran, conveyed concerns that PML-N representatives were being sidelined in the provincial administration.

The leaders also raised the issue of implementing the two-and-a-half-year power-sharing formula agreed upon during the formation of the Balochistan government, urging the prime minister to ensure the agreement is honoured to address what they described as deprivation and underdevelopment in the province.

Party insiders said Mr Khetran alleged large-scale corruption, specifically citing misappropriation of funds in the Ramadan relief package and calling the Provincial Disaster Management Authority a “hub of corruption”. Mr Marri said PML-N ministers and lawmakers were being ignored, which he said had prevented them from carrying out development work.

PM Shehbaz assured the delegation that their complaints would be conveyed to the party’s top leadership.
