A government spokesperson said Iran is keeping “its fingers on the trigger” but the focus remains on “sustainable peace and interests-based diplomacy,” Al Jazeera reports.

“We fought the world’s greatest military power for 40 days and we are still holding the trigger and waiting for a negotiated settlement,” Fatemeh Mohajerani was quoted as saying by the Student News Network.
