KARACHI: 3 schools have no buildings

Published July 4, 2006

KARACHI, July 3: At least 13 schools in the Malir Town are functioning in rented premises and have no buildings of their own. The government is reluctant to consume major funds as owners in most of the cases are now interested in taking back their buildings as in most of the cases, government departments are found reluctant in increasing the amount of rent. The ultimate sufferers in this fight are students and their parents.

The schools which are facing this dilemma are: Government Boys Secondary School, Asif Girls, Lasi Para School, Malir English Government Boys Schools, Government Boys Secondary School Jinnah Square, Ishaatul Quran School, Malir Model School Bakra Piri, Arman School Model Colony, Pakistan Public School, Model Colony, Faryal School Model Colony, Monte Carlo Model Colony, Government Boys Lower Secondary School No 3 and Saudabad, Saudia Girls Secondary School.
