VEHARI, July 2: About 500 telephones were out of order as the main underground cable at Pakhi Morr was cut about a week ago during digging for laying gas pipeline.
The aggrieved subscribers told the correspondent on Friday that the PTCL officials did not take any step despite repeated complains.
When contacted, divisional engineer Nawaz Joiya said majority of phones in the area have been made functional and the remaining would be restored within a few days.
However, the people claimed that majority of telephone were still out of order.
They demanded immediate restoration of their telephones.
