The Israeli military has issued a statement saying it has begun a wave of air strikes on what it said was Hezbollah infrastructure in southern Lebanon, Al Jazeera reports.

Lebanon’s state-run news agency reported shortly after an air strike on the southern town of Barashit, in the Nabatieh Governorate.
