PESHAWAR, July 1: Wohaib Club Lahore and Punjab will clash in the final after recording victories in the semi-finals on Saturday at Qayyum Sports Complex and University Campus.
Wohaib Club overcame a fighting NWFP 1-0 in the first semi-final while Punjab defeating Sindh 4-2 in the penalty shoot-out battle in the second semi-final.
Despite playing with ten men from 56th minute when defender Danish was red carded by referee Chaman Khan, Wohaib Club were deserved winners with Umair getting the match winner in the 48th minute.
In the second match, Punjab took the lead through Sohail in the early stages of the match but Sindh levelled the tied when Mohammad Yousuf snatched the equaliser in dying moments.
There were no scores in the extra time and in the penalty shootout Punjab converted three to one by Sindh to emerge winners.—Agencies
