Asked whether the US is winning the war against Iran, Pentagon chief Pete Hegseth has said “absolutely”, calling it an “astounding military success”, Al Jazeera reports.

Pressed on whether the US considered Iran potentially closing the Strait of Hormuz prior to starting the conflict, Hegseth has replied that the War Department “looked at all aspects of this risk”.
