Five booked over TikTokers’ fight

BAHAWALNAGAR: Five TikTokers were booked for thrashing another TikToker and posting the video on social media on Saturday.

According to the Saddar police, a widely-shared video showed a man abusing another person. Police claimed that after an inquiry, they discovered that the crime took place at Muhammad Asif Sagar’s home in the New City Colony, and the perpetrator was identified as Maqsud from the town of Tibba Maqsudpura, while the other three people seen in the video could not be identified. The investigation revealed that a youngster named Saif was subjected to abuse.

Police sources told Dawn that Said had created a TikTok ID, named Chaddi Plus, through which he used to harass other TikTokers of the area. The affected TikTokers befriended him through fake accounts of girls and, on the pretext of meeting him, invited him to a park and kidnapped him. Subsequently, Saif was humiliated and abused by the TikTokers at the home of Asif Sagar (a local TikToker), and made a video of his humiliation viral from the social media account of Bilal Siddiqui.

Sources claimed that the young TikToker was humiliated in the presence of dozens of people, who could be clearly seen and identified in the viral video. However, police did not name most of those present at the scene in the FIR and did not reveal the identities of some people who were named in the case.
