A senior Hezbollah lawmaker says direct negotiations with Israel will be a “major mistake”, deepening internal divisions, and reiterating the group’s conditional commitment to the ceasefire, Al Jazeera reports.

“We want to continue the ceasefire if Israel fully abides by it,” MP Hassan Fadlallah said.
