Lebanon’s Health Ministry has condemned the killing of journalist Amal Khalil in the southern town of Al-Tayri after Israeli forces pursued her to a house where she had sought shelter, Al Jazeera reports.
In a statement on X, the ministry described her as a “martyr”, and offered condolences to her family as well as the media community in Lebanon.
The ministry added that the circumstances of her death “shame human conscience, after the occupation army pursued her to the house where she sought shelter”.
