Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar has discussed the evolving regional situation with British High Commissioner Jane Marriott, according to the Foreign Office (FO).

He “underscored Pakistan’s ongoing efforts to facilitate engagement and emphasised the importance of dialogue and diplomacy in peaceful resolution of disputes”, the FO said.

It added that Marriott “appreciated and supported” Pakistan’s facilitative role in bringing the US and Iran to the negotiating table.
