Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi has said that blockading Iranian ports is an “act of war, and thus a violation of the ceasefire” with the US.

“Striking a commercial vessel and taking its crew hostage is an even greater violation,” he adds in a post on X, referring to the boarding of Iranian ships by US Marines.

“Iran knows how to neutralise restrictions, how to defend its interests, and how to resist bullying.”
