The Federal Constitutional Court (FCC) has changed its decision to continue working on Tuesday, stating in a press release that no judicial work would be conducted at its principal seat in Islamabad.

‎“This decision has been taken in light of the closure of the Red Zone in Islamabad, which is expected to create significant difficulties for lawyers, litigants, and court officials in accessing court premises,“ the press release said, adding that despite the suspension of judicial proceedings, all officers and staff have been instructed to continue their duties remotely and are advised not to leave their stations.

In an earlier notice, the court said it would remain operational on Tuesday, as lawyers, litigants and officers could access the court’s building through the Margalla Hills entry point, subject to proper identification.
