Hezbollah has claimed responsibility for a series of explosions that it said hit a convoy of eight Israeli armoured vehicles moving from the town of Taybeh towards the town of Deir Siryan, Al Jazeera reports.

It said the explosive devices were “planted beforehand” by its fighters.

The explosions “destroyed four Merkava tanks”, it said.
