Al Jazeera’s Ali Hashem reports that there has been no confirmation from the Iranian side regarding US President Donald Trump’s claim that it is never going to close the Strait of Hormuz again and that it is going to hand over highly enriched uranium.
“What we understand from sources is that preparations are going on for another round of negotiations, including a provisional framework lasting 45 to 60 days that would tackle several issues, including the fate of the highly enriched uranium,” he says.
“There are no updates we can rely on at this moment and we’ve had conflicting reports in the past, so we’re going to have to wait and see.”
