Switzerland has welcomed the announcement of a 10-day ceasefire between Israel and Lebanon, its foreign ministry says on X.

“We call on all parties to fully respect it and to seize this opportunity to advance towards a lasting political solution, in full respect of [Lebanon’s] sovereignty and territorial integrity,” the ministry says
