India’s Modi, France’s Macron agree on urgent need to restore safety, freedom of navigation to Strait of Hormuz

In a post on X, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi says he has discussed the situation in the Middle East with French President Emmanuel Macron.

“We discussed the situation in West Asia and agreed on the need to urgently restore safety and freedom of navigation in the Strait of Hormuz,” he writes. “We will continue our close cooperation to advance peace and stability in the region and beyond.”
