Stephen Miller, a senior White House aide to Donald Trump, told Fox News that the US could maintain its blockade of Iranian ports “indefinitely”, reports Al Jazeera.

Miller described Trump as “a man of peace” but stressed that “America will not be bullied” or threatened by a nuclear-armed Iran.

He warned that a military strike could devastate Iran’s energy infrastructure for generations, though Trump prefers a deal.

“This embargo is squeezing the regime economically, and the US can sustain it indefinitely if Iran chooses the wrong path,” he added.
