Lebanon’s Minister of Administrative Development Fadi Makki has condemned the Israeli “triple-tap” strike in the town of Mayfadoun in southern Lebanon that targeted and killed four paramedics during a humanitarian mission, Al Jazeera has reported.
Expressing his condolences to the families of the martyrs in a post on X, the minister described the targeting of humanitarian and relief workers as “a new war crime added to the record of repeated Israeli crimes against Lebanon and its people”.
He called the attack a “flagrant violation of international humanitarian law” and the conventions designed to protect medical and ambulance crews.
Makki confirmed that the government is “working to document these crimes systematically” in preparation for pursuing legal avenues to hold Israel accountable before the relevant international forums.
