Lebanon files complaint to UN Security Council over Israel’s April 8 bombing
Lebanon’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs has filed a complaint with the United Nations Security Council over the approximately 100 Israeli air strikes launched across the country on April 8, Al Jazeera reports.
The strikes targeted densely populated residential areas of the capital, Beirut, during peak hours and without prior warning.
“These attacks constitute a blatant violation of the principles of international law,” the ministry says, adding that the death toll has reached 303 people, including 30 children and 71 women, with at least 1,150 others injured.
