LOWER DIR: Three women were killed, and two persons were injured when a vehicle plunged into a deep ravine in the Nawagai Asbanr area here on Tuesday.

The police said that three women, identified as the wife of Alam Zeb, the wife of Zahir Khan and the mother of Sherin Nawab, all residents of Nawagai, died on the spot. Later, the deceased were laid to rest.

The injured also included the vehicle driver, Mohammad Zahir, a resident of Nawagai Asbanr, who were shifted to the Tehsil Headquarters Hospital, Chakdara, for treatment.

The Asbanr police registered a case and started further investigations.
