Chinese President Xi Jinping has put forward a four-point proposal on promoting peace and stability in the Middle East, when meeting with Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi, in Beijing, state media Xinhua reports.

The proposal includes adherence to the principles of peaceful coexistence, national sovereignty, international rule of law, and adherence to the coordination of development and security, according to Xinhua.
