The United States condemned an April 7 attack on the Kuwaiti consulate in Basra, Reuters reports citing a post by the State Department on X.

The US is calling on the Iraqi government to “hold accountable and dismantle the Iraqi terrorist groups aligned with Iran that conducted this attack,” the department’s Bureau for Near Eastern Affairs has said.
