Rs100m Town-II budget unveiled
PESHAWAR, June 27- Nazim Town-II Peshawar, Mohammad Sharif on Tuesday presented a Rs100 million budget for financial year 2006-07 which envisages Rs99.236 million expenditure. Out of these, Rs49.651 millions will go to non-developmental sector, including Rs25.386 millions for salaries of the town employees. Of the total income of the town Rs39.695 million will be from its own resources while its share in octroi will be Rs6.793 million.
The town will receive a grant of Rs18.5 million from the district government while the provincial government will release Rs6.785 million as its share in the provincial finance commission award. Besides, it will receive another Rs10 million grant from the provincial government. The administration had saved Rs18.273 million in the outgoing financial year.
The town municipal administration has allocated Rs3.525 million for new development schemes and Rs5.3 million for the ongoing schemes.
The town nazim said that the TMA had given priority to provision of better municipal services in the budget and had planned recruitment of 60 workers in the sanitation department.
Meanwhile, Tehsil Nazim Hanif Gul Jadoon presented Rs63.5 million annual budget of tehsil council.
Presenting the budget, he said the estimated expenditure would be 63.5 million and expected income Rs60.5 million. He said Rs47 million had been allocated for non-development expenditures and Rs13.4 million for development sector.
