Ebrahim Zolfaghari, spokesperson for Iran’s Khatam al Anbiya Central Headquarters, has said that the US rescue operation in Isfahan ended in failure with Iranian forces intercepting and neutralising multiple aircraft and helicopters.

“Attempts to downplay the scale of the setback cannot hide what was a clear strategic miscalculation,” he said in an X post.

“Iran remains fully prepared to defend its sovereignty against any aggression.”
