The Fars news agency is now reporting that the plane deployed in the mission to locate the missing US airman was a C-130 class aircraft, Al Jazeera says.

The outlet said it was destroyed by a police commando unit called the Faraj Rangers, adding that the plane was “refuelling the evil invaders of the sacred land of the homeland”.
