Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu claims Israel has carried out attacks on Iran’s petrochemical factories, which he describes as a major source of cash for Iran’s government, Al Jazeera reports.

In a video message posted on his X account, Netanyahu says the attacks on petrochemical plants came after Israel hit Iran’s steel facilities. He claims Israel has “destroyed 70 per cent of [Iran’s] ability to create steel”.

“We will continue to hit them, as I promised,” he adds.
