Iran is rebuffing the narrative of open skies with fire, Al Jazeera’s Ali Hashem reports, citing the downing of an F-15 fighter jet, as well as attacks on other aircraft.

“A US fighter jet also fell into the Gulf, according to what we are hearing from the Iranian armed forces, who say they are the ones who hit it,” he says. “There are also reports that a Black Hawk helicopter was targeted with an Iranian anti-aircraft missile while trying to rescue a US pilot.”
