Iranian state broadcaster IRIB reports that for the first time since 2019, a consignment of oil from Tehran is being transferred to India.

“India, which was once forced to abandon Iranian oil under US sanctions, has once again turned to Tehran and for the first time since May 2019, a tanker carrying Iranian crude is heading towards India,” the broadcaster has said on X, citing a claim by outlet India Today.
