France’s Foreign Ministry ⁠spokesperson Pascal Confavreux has said that the Group of Seven (G7) will convene a meeting next week with the Gulf Cooperation Council to discuss the situation in the Strait of Hormuz, Al Jazeera reports.

France holds the current presidency of the G7.
